Description
A variable neutral-density filter with one to five stops of adjustment, controlled by rotating the ring. It reduces light entering the lens for greater exposure control in photography and video.
The front diameter is larger than the rear diameter to prevent vignetting on wide-angle lenses. It allows slower shutter speeds for motion blur, even with high-speed film or digital cameras, and wider apertures for shallower depth of field and subject separation.
