Description

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K combines a Super 35 sensor with recording up to 50fps at 6144 × 3456 and an active Canon EF lens mount for EF and EF-S lenses. The resolution allows reframing a second shot from one image, upscaling to 8K or capturing rich detail. Shared colour processing simplifies matching with BMPCC 4K footage.

Record to CFast 2.0 or SD/UHS-II cards, or connect an external drive via USB-C for longer clips. Blackmagic RAW recording directly from the sensor and sensor metadata simplify editing and adaptation in DaVinci Resolve. The original package includes a DaVinci Resolve Studio activation key.

The familiar BMPCC 4K-style controls and menus are retained in a slightly deeper body accommodating the EF mount. Features include ISO up to 25600, 13 stops of dynamic range, 1920 × 1080 monitoring output and a 5-inch 1920 × 1080 touchscreen. Professional audio includes mini XLR with +48V phantom power and four built-in microphones.

The compact carbon-fibre/polycarbonate composite body is lightweight and durable, suited to independent films, wildlife and fashion. Other features include lens metadata, 3D LUTs for monitoring and recording, stills up to 21.2MP and a multifunction grip for one-handed use.

Multiple cameras can be synchronised by connecting an external timecode generator through the 3.5mm audio port. DaVinci Resolve 16.1 can then synchronise them automatically in post-production. The original camera package includes a power supply supporting simultaneous battery charging, LP-E6 battery, lens-mount cap and camera strap.
